Residential Solar Systems -- Your Questions Answered and a System Designed Specifically For Your Needs
Deciding to power your home with solar is a big decision that comes with many questions. Two of the most common concerns about residential solar systems involve cost and dependability. Many wonder if these residential systems can truly provide cheaper energy considering the upfront cost, and whether they can provide the amount of energy a home needs. At Apex Solar we are ready to answer these questions and more for our residential customers, and they’re often happy with the answers. While going solar is a long term investment, home solar systems pay for themselves long before they require serious upgrades that have a significant cost. And almost immediately after you make your investment, you’ll likely get the benefit of tax breaks, rebates and other incentives that are becoming more available every year. In terms of dependability, residential solar systems are just as reliable as the public power grid and in some cases, they’re even better.
At Apex we offer three types of home solar power systems that provide peace-of-mind for many types of users:
- Off grid: these residential solar systems are completely autonomous and provide 100% of the electricity a home uses. Their batteries store energy to ensure that even during a stretch of cloudy days power is still readily available. They are a good choice for homes in remote locations with no access to the public power grid, as well as for those who want 100% of their residential power to come from a renewable source.
- Grid tie: these systems power your home, but they’re also tied into the public power grid. That means if there isn’t enough solar energy available to power your home, you can still pull from the main grid as a backup. This allows you to experience the cost benefits of residential solar energy while still having access to the public power grid if necessary.
- Grid tie with battery backup: This type of system provides residential customers with all the benefits of grid tie with the added security of a backup supply of energy stored in batteries. This means even if the mainpower grid blacks out, you’ll still have power at your home and your solar panels will continue to produce power, unlike a grid tie system which shuts down during a grid failure.
No matter what type of residential system you choose, Apex will custom design it to meet the specific needs of your home. We’ll also assemble much of it and program it before shipping, so your installation will be as easy as possible. Then we provide as much tech support as you need.
